Whew! I’m in the middle of my Spring Break, which means plenty of square dancing, tunes, trips up north for ski and sauna, and down south to visit guitar maker Todd Cambio of Fraulini Guitars.
I recieved a Fellowship to attend Moosejaw, a music and dance festival that happens annually in Northwest Minnesota. It was a whirlwind of skiing, dancing, singing country songs, and making use of the wood-fired sauna. The standard activity here is to get good and hot in the sauna, then jump into the hole that’s been broken through the icy lake…Yeow!

In class, we’re getting in depth with finishing. We’ll cover a wide variety of finish and finish repair techniques. We’ll french polish, grain fill, spray lacquer with aerosol and HVLP, buff and polish by hand and machine, explore compatibility and solvents, and get our finishing dialed to perfection. We have lots of reading! I’m stoked.
